The year is 2003. It has been five years since the second wizarding war and the attack on Hogwarts happened. Voldimort is dead and Death Eaters are being hunted.
Many things have happened. Professor McGonagall is now Headmistress, and Kingsley Shacklebolt has been made Minister of Magic. Neville Longbottom is Herbology professor, and many of his classmates have become aurors. The world of magic is safe once again.
After the war, Hogwarts was closed only for the summer for repairs and to replace staff. When September 1st rolled around, the school opened its doors again for all who wished to learn. Five years after the war the school is still going strong. The letters have been sent, and students will soon board the Hogwarts express and start a new year of learning.
But, wait. Even though the war is over there are still Death Eaters alive and those who still believe in Pure-Bloods only. They are still hunting down those they deem “unworthy”. The students at Hogwarts are more important than ever because it is they who will decide what the future looks like.
