7 turns ago, a small group of riders, crafters and holders left the North and settled in the South. Their goal was simple… to ready themselves for the upcoming Pass… a Pass the North refused to accept was coming. 5 turns ago, the first Threadfall fell over Fort Hold proving them right and the world was changed forever…

Life on Pern in the Fifth Pass is now a little chaotic. Those that lived up North were caught unprepared for that first Fall, and many were lost during the first turn of the Pass from the death and destruction that rained down on them. In the South, things aren't much different. Those that choose to stay behind verses reintegrated into the Northern Holds, Weyrs, and Crafthalls face their own problems. Still, life goes on and as the Red Star spins closer and closer and the knowledge of another 50 turns with Thread weights down on the people of Pern, the question becomes… who will survive until clear skies dawn once again.

Soutern Weyrhold is a 5th Pass Play by Post Pern RPG with a moderate to high canon setting and females riding gold, green and a rare blue dragon. We have a simple candidate/hatching system and a laid back community that hopes to foster good stories written among friends.
