You'll note that there are two different types of currency found here: sand dollars and plot points. Some things are available only with sand dollars, while other things are only available with plot points. Other things will only be available at certain times from the Stash, the black market located on Smuggler's Drop.

Sand Dollars
Sand dollars are earned two ways. The first, and easiest, is through in-character posting. Every post in the RP boards will earn you one sand dollar. They can also be earned through participation in contests -- check the individual contest to see how much entries are worth, or if there are sand dollar prizes.

Plot Points[/b]
Plot points are harder to earn than sand dollars. For every plot thread that you participate in, you will earn one plot point. Plot threads include:

• Dragon/wher Hatchings (for non-Candidates)
  
• Threadfall
  
• Skirmishes, labelled [[SKIRMISH]]
  
• Any thread labeled [[PLOT]]
  
• Plots run by members (e.g., contacting dolphins, hunting leviathans, communicating with rogues)

Starting and running a member-run plot earns you three plot points. There are also plot characters available for adoption and play. Note that the plot team has the right to kill, maim, banish, or what have you a plot character at any time -- they won't always be long-term characters. But if you have a plot character, you will earn a plot point for every thread they are used in (minimum of five threads a month to gain these points).
