Background:
- Born at High Reaches Weyr as Kesnolen in early 1210 to a female brownrider, he is an only child.
- Began Standing for Clutches at 13, while learning lapidary work at the urging of his mother. Stopped Standing at 20 when he switched over fully to working as a gemcutter and jeweler at High Reaches Hold.
- Impressed at 22 to bronze Trilliaenth while visiting his mother. (1232)
- Worked in stonework at the Weyr; did not seek higher status than Wingsecond but was made a Wingleader in 1237 shortly before Neltioth’s death.
- Helped convince the Weyrleader to disband High Reaches Weyr in favor of consolidation with Ista Weyr in late 1237. Retained rank as a Wingleader at Ista.
- 1238, Trilliaenth Catches Hrrvath. Clutch of 12, no queen.
- 1246, Trilliaenth loses Hrrvath’s Flight to bronze Kelioth. Gold Oolarnth Hatches.
- Kes’len and others come to the conclusion in 1250 from the study of the Star Stones that Thread is returning, but are laughed down.
- 1251, Trilliaenth Catches Hrrvath. Clutch of 13, one queen – Xezpheth.
- In 1252, most High Reaches riders return to High Reaches Weyr with an Istan queen to refound the Weyr. Kes’len remains at Ista as Weyrleader.
- December 1255, Trilliaenth loses Hrrvath’s Flight to bronze Jeskatoth.
- early 1256, Kes’len transfers to High Reaches Weyr, but defects to Hidden Weyr instead.
