Plot Synopsis
It is Turn 2 of the Fifth Pass. An ambitious junior goldrider has murdered the Weyrwoman of Ista, leaving a power vacuum at the top and people are starting to flounder without anyone holding the reins. To make matters worse, those banished as criminals to the Western Continent have set the wheels in motion to create a Weyr of their own and protect themselves now that the Pass has begun, stealing eggs, infiltrating Candidacy, and inadvertently bringing about the death of a goldrider. Things are bound come to a head sooner or later - and it starting to look like it might be sooner, with the Westerners getting more and more desperate.
About Us
Ista Island is an active, energetic community of roleplayers. We have plots - large, game-wide plots run by staff and smaller, personal plots among the players - to help keep things lively and fresh. We're a mostly canon site, offering the five traditional colors, with women still Impressing green in our timeline, and a recent plot to introduce the first female bluerider in Pernese history. Staff is active and helpful, running events, storylines, and contests, and the players are welcoming and friendly.
We've currently got a major plotline under way involving the Western Continent, those sent in exile from the North, now facing annihilation with the Pass upon them.

o Weyrlings - Insta-weyrlings are available for two Clutches - one age approximately 10-11 months old and one now 3-4 months old. Bronze, brown, blue, and green are available.
o Bronze, brown, blue, and greenriders - Male characters for all colors are open. Female characters are accepted as greenriders. We have room for Wingseconds (brownrider) and assistant weyrlingmasters (any color).
