High Reaches Weyr is abandoned and consolidates with Ista Weyr.

February
L’nesh of brown Orroneth is offered Heir Apparency of Ruatha Hold. He accepts, divorcing his weyrmate Kel’far of green Lissaneroth, returning to his un-elided name Lesfarmenesh, and disavowing the Weyrs.
March
Lesfarmenesh weds Kylieve, daughter of the Masterharper.
Turn 1246
July
Telgar Weyr’s queen is lost between for unknown causes, but leaves a Clutch.
August
Gold Ssath Hatches at Telgar Weyr. She is born blind but successfully Impresses to Jubilae.

Gold Hinjerath of Fort Weyr lays her first gold egg.
December
Gold Itwasath Hatches in Fort Weyr. She is mentally disabled and Impresses to a mentally and physically disabled drudge named Giennash.

Gold Ssath of Telgar Weyr is led on her maiden Flight by an elderly HAD.
April
Gold Beaumantoth Hatches from Ssath’s maiden Clutch and Impresses to Simoane. It is assumed that Simoane and Beaumantoth will assume Weyrwoman status at Beaumantoth’s first Rise.

Several dragonriders at Ista Weyr come to the conclusion through study of the Red Star (at the only Star Stones left in existence, the Istan ones) that the Interval is drawing to a close and will end in 1258. They are laughed down.
Turn 1251
April
Gold Hinjerath of Fort Weyr and her rider commit suicide after the accidental death of their weyrmates in a training session. Firestone training is banned at Fort Weyr.
Sk’oner of bronze Llionth takes over Weyrleadership of the Weyr with support from the Lord Holder of Fort (his father) and several of the Wingleaders. Giennash and gold Itwasath are given no power.
May
Those few dragonriders convinced of the reality of Thread first meet secretly to discuss how to prepare for the coming Pass.

Lesfarmenesh of brown Orroneth becomes Lord Holder of Ruatha Hold.

Imarna of gold Oolarnth transfers to High Reaches Weyr to re-found the Weyr and assume the role of Weyrwoman. K’ven of bronze Hetjiath regains his position until Oolarnth Rises.
September
A small coalition of dragonriders is formed to try and make a Weyr in which to train and prepare for the coming Pass. It is decided to approach the various queenriders to find a Weyr which is interested in the proposition
Turn 1253
January
Each queenpair refuses to believe that Thread is returning; many claim it is simply a myth held by an older society. Telgar Weyr and Ista Weyr forbid more than cursory training maneuvers. The coalition decides to search for an island or other land on which to form a training Weyr, despite the lack of a queen.
May
Istan Lord Holder Anekser dies of a runnerbeast accident. Lady Holder Myreska rules the Hold until her daughter Nelysakse comes of age.
Turn 1254
August
Eastwatch is first discovered by a coalition dragonrider, J’ner of brown Wexlith. Exploration of the Western Archipelago is kept secret but done systematically.
December
Dragonrider raids on firestone mines cause an uproar in the Holders and Crafters, but tempers are eventually soothed by the confused Weyrleaderships.
Turn 1255
January
Civil war (sparked by false pirates; actually coalition riders) destroys the community of pirates and smugglers in the Western Archipelago.
March
Settlement of the Western Archipelago begins. Dragonriders use transfer requests, false suicide, or simple disappearance to leave the Weyrs.
November
The coalition names itself Hidden Weyr, and slowly grows. Wings are formed and plans made to acquire dragon eggs and Candidates.
December
Three golds across Pern Rise in quick succession: Ista’s Hrrvath, who Chooses bronze Jeskatoth; Fort’s Itwasath, who Chooses blue Kesmaroth; Telgar’s Beaumantoth, who Chooses bronze Durrith.
Turn 1256
January
Gold Hrrvath of Ista Weyr lays 27 eggs, with two possible gold eggs.
Gold Itwasath of Fort Weyr lays 2 misshapen eggs, which are shortly abandoned by the dragon and relegated to the midden heap. They are taken to Hidden Weyr.
Gold Beaumantoth of Telgar Weyr lays 18 eggs.
February
Cloaked riders on black dragons between onto the Hatching Sands of Ista and Telgar Weyr. Eight eggs are stolen from Ista, while four are taken from Telgar.

Beaumantoth and Itwasath's eggs Hatch.
April
Hrrvath's eggs Hatch.
May
The Lady's Dalliance fails to show up in port. Other ships are spotted near Leviathan Point.
Green Opheriath Rises and Chooses brown Lath.
July
Four pirate ships (the Leviathan, Vengeance, Riptide, and Ocean's Star) arrive at Smuggler's Drop, towing the Lady's Dalliance after an apparent leviathan attack.

Smuggler's Drop, Bramblewood, Keel, Eastwatch, and associated minor islands are surrendered to Captain Malle of the Leviathan. Dragonriders are ceded the rest of the Western Archipelago as their territory by treaty.
September
Kaycy and blue Winzerith defects to the Harper Hall.
December
An allied force from Fort Weyr, Igen Weyr, and Ista Weyr attack the Archipelago, killing some Coalition riders. Northern riders begin flying sweeps over the islands, attacking Coalition riders on sight, but do not harass the pirates.
Turn 1257
February
A triple caldera is found in the far south and deemed appropriate for a hideaway Weyr.
Coalition riders begin settling the calderas. It is named South Run Weyr.
May
Four distinct factions begin to form, each inhabiting a different caldera and the fourth living outside of South Run.
June
Rogue dragonriders are discovered near South Run.
July
