The Eye of Zanna has been destroyed.

Morrim is, finally, at peace.

Thanks to the efforts of Razarod Evermore and Sphynx de'Hawkeris, among others, the decay that had been quickly spreading across the country has receded. Alongside these developments, the Empress of Morrim, thought to be dead, has risen again, her soul released from the Eye, transforming both her broken mind and her battered body into that of a Banshee's. Shortly after her return to power - and Sphynx's subsequent demotion from the post - she appointed Nero Aurelian, one of her advisers, to the post of co-emperor. They rule together in harmony, for the most part, rebuilding their country step-by-step, beginning economically with a heavier focus on slave trading in and out of Morrim to those countries that will accept it. Nero's rise to power, however, has not been without scandal and some, especially the Empress's senior advisers, are highly displeased with his promotion.

Soare, the continent upon which Morrim and her two other neighbours, Ashoka and Soto, resides, is taking a much-needed rest after Andromalius's conquest and Morrim's steep decline. However, as most retire to a more peaceful life, trouble brews in both Ashoka and Soto: the former is becoming a progressively more militarized and totalitarian state under Orion de Lacey's kingship, and the people of Soto are furious that the Ashokan refugees who fled Andromalius's terror have not returned home. It is only a matter of time before both situations turn ugly.
