Clutching & Hatching Regulations
- All clutching creatures must Fly/Run ICly in order to have a clutch, except in the case of express administrative permission.
- Clutches may not exceed 18 eggs for any reason, and only golds may clutch that many. Most clutches for queens on Hidden will not be larger than 15 or 16 eggs, and greens will not be more than 7.
- By receiving a clutching creature, the administration of Hidden is putting trust in you. If we select you to create a clutch, we expect it to be done on time, no questions asked. That includes egg and baby descriptions. We don’t expect novel-length descriptions but please put effort into them. If you fail to finish your clutch in time continuously, without a good reason, your clutching privileges will be revoked.
- Congratulations, you made a clutch. You also get to suggest who Impresses what – and most of the time, the administrators will be willing to listen. However, your entire clutch impression list must be approved by an administrator before the hatching, and we receive the right to suggest changes. We will explain these if asked, and we won’t request you switch something without a very good reason.
- On the Sands, the person who plays the clutchmother reserves the right to maul everyone – but never kill or permanently maim. If you don’t want to risk being mauled, don’t make a candidate. It probably will happen.
- In general, a clutching creature will only Clutch a maximum of twice a year (real-time). Greens generally do not clutch unless you’re told otherwise, so please don’t ask. The administration will maintain a Clutching/Hatching schedule which players owning Clutching creatures will be privy to.
- If we want your clutch to contain a queen egg, we’ll tell you. Period.
- Favoritism will not be tolerated in Impressions. If we see you giving metallics to only people you like, you’ll lose your clutching privileges. Everyone starts out equal on Hidden. Be ready to explain if you’re giving a shiny to someone who already has one, because we will ask you why.
- Be creative. People ask for specific colors. You don’t have to listen. Consider it, but you’re not obligated. Make your dragons unique, and have fun with the Impressions. The best part of making a clutch is making it your own. Not every baby is perfect.
